2017 End of Year update - Merry Christmas

Greetings and Salutations,

I delayed sending out this update hoping to turn things around last week. Sadly, most of our maps were not delivered or were otherwise needing some changes. We did get a few error's in the rules corrected and ironed out the effect of the Joker card which has been highly debated over this past year. So to that end, I created the Joker PDF which codifies all the published guidelines for the Joker from all published and 14 unpublished products. It contains the 'official' way to use the jokers and some options for Game Masters. I will post that PDF to the free pdf area of the website this week. It contains the history and location of each guideline and the formal game rules which all books will use going forward. The Quick Start Guide contained an error in the Joker section and the new QSG will be posted to the website free PDF section later this week as well. 

 Now the bad news. With the maps incomplete and two adventures arriving late, we will not be able to ship before Christmas. So, we are giving our people the Holiday off and will ship in January. We will be shipping in three major batches starting the second week of January. All PDF's should be available on the 15th for download. The AS3 is done. I will be adding some expanded tables to the book as I have an extra week to do so. In addition, we will be providing a few extra's including a full exclusive adventure module in PDF form to all Kickstarter backers as a way to say sorry for the delay. Here are some of the BEAS2017 adventure's that are complete and ready to ship.

Nearly every module in this series details a new area of the Blasted Earth and introduces new technology, mutants, or aliens. Major NPC's are detailed for the Game Master to use in later adventures and every module can server now only as "next segment" of the LDP Quest but can be played standalone as a gateway to adventuring in that part of the Blasted Earth.

Some of the adventures expand on the Flora (Mutant Plants) and on Societies (Alliances) among those who list on the Blasted Earth.

Other adventures place you between factions who fight for control of a facility or region. In MC you must decide which faction to work with in order to achieve your objective.

 Classical Fun and deadly adventures in the Ruins of the Blasted Earth make for a fun traditional PA adventure.

 Finally, a few Adventures detail a single town. Its people, cults, buildings, factions, and redoubt(s). These adventures feature multiple ways to gain success for your quest at least one of which is pure role-playing rather than combat.

Among these adventures, everyone will find something to love. Happy New Years.

Greetings from the Apocalyptic Frontier

The Fifth Anthology (Lunar Resort Volume II) is complete and off to layout as of today. So one more item completed and ready to be shipping with the loot boxes. A sample cover proof is at the end of this update.

Good News, the AS3 book has come back from editing and I am working my way through it today. The last module in our BEAS 12 module series is due in Thursday. All the others are already in and we have all the art we expect to get in time for inclusion. We may have 2 more show up at the last minute.

Many of the booklets are done and the others will be completed in the next few days so everything is moving along well so far this week. I beleive the only real delay that will come to you in a seperate shipment are the new card decks. The 77 Worlds deck is here the other three I really do not expect until after the holidays but we may be surprised.

The Apocalyptic Delay

Good Morning,

We have one week left in November. Frankly, As I do not have the AS3 book in hand today I expect we will push shipping out two weeks as it will not be at the printer tomorrow. We still have a few loose ends to wrap up so this slight delay will help and should still get your rewards in hand by Christmas. Thank you for hanging in there with us. I was told to set delivery dates for spring but who wants to wait that long for a kickstarter? The good news is we have more content than projected for the funds raise and for the goals not met we plan to release a few source books in 2018 to cover those topics. One upside to this delay si that we will be able to get some of the excellent art that has come in over the last two weeks into the books. Here is a little something for you to enjoy this week. This bit of wonderful art by Ben will make it onto the cover of BE1: Landing Zone.

It is exciting to see the layout for the Blasted Earth (As3 Earth Prime) coming together. We are working hard to complete a dozen projects all sitting around 90% complete at this point. We have spent the vast majority of the funds raised on Art work for the source book and the 12 modules being released with it. Below is an example of some of the better art used to illustrate critical points in the rules or in an adventure while also illustrating the landscape of the various sectors on the Blasted Earth.

We are half way into November. Time flies. We will be hard pressed to start shipping by the end of the month yet that remains our goal. So, most of you will see the rewards before Christmas. Some items have been set aside to ensure the core book goes out. This means a good many of you will get two boxes one in December and one after the first of the year. I anticipate all PDF downloads will be available in mid-December.

So the good news, a LOT of art came in last week, so we are working to integrate that now. I think we are still right at two weeks behind schedule at this point. So we will complete and ship as soon as we can. I will post a new update in two weeks with specific details on anticipated delivery dates. Expect an email from me confirming your rewards and asking you to sign up for our newsletter. A link will be provided.
