The Blasted Earth PDF is available

A quick reminder for you, The AS3 PDF "The Blasted Earth" is now available to download for free for everyone who received the Book as part of their pledge rewards. The PDF was not included in your pledge rewards but we have decided to give it to you as a way to say thank you for your support. This was made available a couple of days ago but few have downloaded it.

You can get the PDF at http://www.firesidecreations.com/store/eb1 once you login, just click on the book and it should have a "Download" button instead of the "Buy PDF" button. If you do not get the download button, please drop us an email at [email protected]  Keep in mind you will not see the Download button until you login.

On another note, We have the first newsletter and the final Anthology due to some pledge levels in the final stages of production. I hope the initial shipments will go out this coming Saturday. A few modules yet remain and we hope to have those out along with the card decks by September when we will close down the campaign. I know how it can be when your waiting on the last few items and do not hear anything for a week or two.

We are still on schedule for a shipment in August. We completed the last Anthology last week and shipping copies to our authors. The next few adventures should be done in August and we will ship those items along with the First newsletter to everyone.

If you are still waiting on card decks, they are anticipated to ship with our Second Newsletter at the end of August.

A Gift to Backers & Apocalyptic Mars Kickstarter

Greetings from the Apocalyptic Future!

We have discussed a request that came in and given the nature of many kickstarters running today; We have decided to Gift everyone who pledged at a level to get a copy of the Blasted Earth book access to the PDF. This will happen in the next week or so; so check back at the website.

Our next kickstarter will be for the Apocalyptic Mars Source book. This is the first Colony World source book which will be followed by the Jovian System and then Ward's Darkstar (the first system beyond Sol). We hope you will join us for the Mars kickstarter in August.

 316 years ago Mars had a thriving colony of Humans. There were ten different domed cities and several very large mining colonies. Mankind had discovered a new metal on Mars. It was lighter and stronger than any other metal found on Earth. There was great demand for this metal in the fabrication of starship engines of all types, but especially the automated S-ships. For many years large supplies were shipped to the Jupiter ship yards (JSY). Colossal efforts were expended to bring back the atmosphere of Mars. Huge tracks of oxygen generating lichen spread across all of the land surrounding the human domes in the large craters of Mars. Engineering efforts generated oxygen in all of the mines on the planet making it comfortable for humans to work those mine shafts. Robots where assigned the task of working that lichen. Many specialized robots were also used in the domes and the mines to make life on Mars easier for mankind. Those robots were powered by mulching the lichen into protein energy for their systems.

Today, Apocalyptic Mars is a world that in many real ways continues to fight a war on its surface. Rogue A.I.'s fight Cyborgs and other A.I.'s for domination of the mines and few remaining factories. Alien factions both invaders and ancient war machines left millions of years ago by the dying Martian civilization make Mars a very dangerous place with vast rewards for the brave and lucky. The rest become oil for the gears of the automations.

Product Update and New Fantasy RPG Kickstarter

We are wrapping up the Lunar Resort Volume II anthology today and Ruins of Tokyo this week. Assume the other 3 adventures go as well we should be shipping box 2 in about three weeks.

James M. Ward and Stephen A. Lee have launched a new Kickstarter to fund a new Fantasy RPG. Dragonscales FRPG is a ward card system based game set in the Chromatic Kingdoms and the core book includes the City of Concord which sits astride the great rift canyon, Fantasy Encounters Encyclopedia, and Deities of the Chromatic Kingdoms. Initial character types include the following

• Fighters make magical weapons from their Dragonscales.
  
• Wizards make spells out of their Dragonscales.
  
• Druids make scales to summon creatures of the forest out of their Dragonscales.
  
• Templar Warriors use Dragonscales to make holy weapons and cast holy spells to fight the undead and the evilest of black dragons.
• Fortune-Hunters use Dragonscales to make all sorts of equipment to find treasures in the most unlikely of places.
